When I started Curran Interiors LLC., my idea was to unify beautiful design elements through the use of carefully researched and selected furniture, fixtures, finishes, equipment and color. Partnering with construction industry professionals, we introduce designs that communicate the client’s ideas and personal styles within a range of budget and price points.
With 15 years of working in the interior design and remodel industry, resulting in numerous ASID Design Excellence Awards, I have discovered one crucial element. The primary reason remodeling projects easily overwhelm clients, and consequently drive a project over budget, is due to the lack of planning prior to requesting bids from contractors and beginning a project without the execution of a comprehensive design plan.
I have also found that it can be overwhelming having numerous selections of finish options that range in different styles and price points. It becomes easy to lose track of your original concept.
More often than not, improper design selections are made based upon time restraints and the pressure to meet a deadline. Frustration sets in and the project becomes exhausting and no longer fun.
Through careful research and a detailed planning process, I approach projects in the following fashion, starting with a face to face meeting to discuss the interior space planning, selections process, and your projected budget for the project. This meeting then allows me to interpret and create conceptual and complete design plans based off of my clients’ desired vision for their space. Curran Interiors LLC is the launch point for clients in order to begin the realization of how to achieve their dream space.
I believe that every remodeling and construction project can be fun, but only when planned appropriately and budgeted with the final design concept and selections in mind, ultimately leaving my clients rewardingly happy in their spaces.
